Save Nagaland from Illegal Immigrant
No doubt, that the aim of the Central Government is to change the definition of the illegal immigrants through the citizenship (Amendment) Bill of 2016. In the Present context, Nagaland is already illegal immigrants infested state, and that once the bill is introduced, the State would face serious dilemmas in the near future.
B.J.P at the Central mint to grant illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan citizenship on the religious ground and it is perilous that would later result in huge infiltration in the state. It is also political injustice meted out by the Central Government on the indigenous people of Nagaland. Nagas had been facing the onslaught on illegal immigrants over the years and these issue have become serious concern in the State. The then State Government, tribal hohos, Civil Societies had miserably failed to tackle the issue of the illegal immigrants over the years.
Instead of supporting and protecting the interest of the Nagas, wondering why our state government is not taking any serious on the controversial bill when Nagas around them are raising hue and cry. Nagas have elected them to do the welfare of the people and not to argue among themselves. And how the state government could be so confident that the Article 371 (A) would protect the Nagas in the event of Bill becoming an Act, when it is transparently distinct from CAB-2016 and BEERA.
The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill of 2016 is a sharp move of the NDA government and their intention is to reduce the indigenous people of North-Eastern region to minority in their own land. The controversial Bill had assassinated the democracy, oppressed the people’s voice and it would be euthanize the future of the Nagas. Nagaland is not far from Assam and Tripura to be over populated with illegal immigrants (For example, Dimapur has already become a safe place for illegal immigrants).
Therefore, people and the organisation should come together to save ourselves from the impending doom. And we should stop illegal immigrants from being overrunning our state and let us not make Nagaland a safe haven for illegal immigrants.
